My Story

Qwuy’um’aat Creations was born from a deep connection to culture, identity, and the land. What began as a passion for beadwork — a traditional art form passed through generations — has grown into something broader.

Today, Qwuy’um’aat Creations is a space where culture meets everyday living.

While beadwork remains at the heart of this work, the creations now extend into journals, reflection pages, language resources, and home-centered tools that support Indigenous women and families in staying grounded, organized, and connected to who they are.

Each creation is rooted in Quw’utsun identity, story, and the living beauty of the land we call home. Whether handmade or printed on paper, these pieces are designed to bring a sense of belonging, care, and cultural connection into everyday life.

Qwuy’um’aat Creations is where culture meets everyday life.

What began with beadwork has grown into creations that help Indigenous women and other women alike, feel more grounded at home, in their roles, and in themselves.

This work is about bringing culture back into how we live — in small, practical, meaningful ways that support us now and the generations coming after us.

Culture as Every Day Practice

At Qwuy’um’aat Creations, culture is not separate from daily life. It lives in the way I create, the way I care for home, and the way I carry teachings forward. This work is grounded in Quw’utsun ways of knowing and being, and reflects culture as something we live with every day — not something we set aside for special occasions.

Living and Moving Forward

I create with responsibility and intention. The stories, and designs in this work come from a place of respect for where we come from and awareness of who we are becoming. Indigenous people are living, modern, creative people, and this work honours that ongoing expression.
